Only beginning its fourth season as a varsity soccer program, the Monmouth-Roseville Titans have already won postseason hardware, claiming a regional championship last season. Head coach Aaron Sikorski says its a benefit that this year's seniors have now experienced four years of high school soccer. The Titans return six starters, but lose a couple goal scoring threats with the graduation of Adrian Amador and Jorge Perez, and the loss of Jose Hernandez, who transferred out. Top goal scorer Chino Ayala is back, after setting the season record for goals in 2009. Goalie Gerardo Ayala is also back, a year after posting several shutouts. The season opener is Monday against Illini Bluffs at Roseville. The team will split their home games between Roseville and Monmouth College this season.
