(Galesburg, IL)  –  The 444th Chemical Company of the Illinois National Guard is about to begin training for a mission to Kuwait.  In all about 120 citizen soldiers of the Illinois National Guard will be a part of the nine-month mission.  They will be heading to Kuwait later this winter and will provide security  as well as other services for other units that are in the country.  They will train in Mississippi before they leave.  They are then expected to return back to Illinois in early 2013.  A ceremony is being planned for the soldiers by the Illinois National Guard on Sunday.  It will take place beginning at 1 Sunday afternoon and will be at the National Guard Armory that is located in Galesburg.
