The Monmouth-Roseville Homecoming festivities have special meaning this year as the school and student body are using it as an opportunity to support a teacher, Tracey Williams, who is battling breast cancer. She was diagnosed last school year, and after undergoing surgery might be able to return within a month or two. Homecoming has a pink theme to support the fight against breast cancer. Students have been decorating in pink, have created a pink paper chair, selling links at $1 each and ticket sales at Homecoming will be donated to the teacher. In addition the entry fees of $75 per float are also going to be donated to the beloved teacher who Student Body Association Secretary John Glasgow called "an amazing teacher." SBA's Colton McClintock said he was helping out to honor his grandfather who had cancer. Senior Will Myers said it is a way to give back. Willmyers
McClintock said they hoped to raise in excess of $2,000.
