Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau® to Host "On the Road" Seminars

 

Farm Bureau knows that trucking regulations and issues are critical to the success of many farms. That's why they are hosting "On the Road" seminars throughout the state. Kevin Rund, Illinois Farm Bureau's farm transportation expert, will focus on trucking laws important to farmers. There will be two seminars in this area on February 21, 2012. The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau® will be sponsoring a seminar at the Farm Bureau® in Monmouth beginning at 9:30 a.m. If you can’t make it to that one, the Knox County Farm Bureau® will be sponsoring the same seminar at 6:00 p.m. that evening at the Knox Agri Center. Some of the things Kevin will be discussing include:

 

New & Pending Laws Impacting Farm Vehicle Operation

  • Tenant farmers as for-hire carriers

  • Implements of husbandry as commercial motor vehicles

  • Ban on use of hand-held cell phones

  • USDOT Number registration

  • Unified Carrier Registration (UCR)

  • Linking the Medical Card to the CDL

  • Form 2290 and the Heavy Vehicle Use Tax
